Generosity Takes Flight: A Heartfelt Donation to Public Safety
| |
Private citizen Mr. Adam Blank and his son have made a heartwarming contribution to public safety by donating a Mavic 3 Pro drone with the Fly More Combo to NPS-DDP.org. Their generosity, complemented by a complimentary training class from Pilot Institute, highlights the power of giving back and the importance of partnerships in advancing safety efforts.
In addition, the Texas Department of Public Safety has donated standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation for drone programs, ensuring proper protocols for the recipient police department as they launch their new drone program.
Pilot Institute, a long-standing supporter of NPS-DDP, continues to demonstrate commitment to public safety by providing essential training. This collaborative effort benefits Officer Kevin Berge of the New Jersey Institute of technology, NJIT Police Department, enhancing capabilities in search and rescue, surveillance, and safety procedures. This department was chosen by Mr. Blank and his son.
The combined donation of the drone, training, and SOP documentation equips the NJIT Police Department to launch their drone program effectively. This collaborative effort underscores the importance of community engagement in supporting public safety agencies, empowering them to protect and serve our communities.
As we celebrate these generous contributions, let us acknowledge the profound impact of kindness and collaboration in making our world safer. Together, we can continue to support our public safety professionals in their mission to keep us safe.
If you have unused drone hardware, why not consider making a donation like the one mentioned above? Together, we can make a difference one donation at a time.

Denville Township Office of Emergency Management,
Denville, NJ.
"...Drones in Public Service; If you were to just do an internet search of “Drones for First Responders” countless articles would populate describing the applications and departments using them. Just in the Morris County area several municipalities have purchased or received donated units. In a time of emergency or critical timing we cannot wait for another Department to be notified and respond to our need..."

Winhall Police & Rescue, Winhall, VT.
"...By establishing a drone program, we would be able to enhance our capabilities to better serve our community. Being a small, rural agency, we often rely on larger agencies' resources during our most critical incidents. With the addition of a drone, we would dramatically reduce response times and enhance the safety of our responders when responding to missing persons, lost hikers, natural disasters, and other unforeseen critical incidents..."
